-BhaiyaSSSSSS.......nahi, nahi....chhod do mujhe.....raham karo" cried she. -"Tumahari himmat kaise hui yeh sab karne ki?"the bro' was shivering with anger. -"jise ghar ki izzat ki parwah nahi ,use jine ka huck nahi.Maar daalo ise" roared the father. -"khataak........" silence persisted in the ambience. The girl's head was shoved off her neck. Next day , the news read: " 18-year girl was murdered by her bro' for the sake of honour of his family." The story behind such incident was that the girl was in love with a boy of lower caste in the village which was not liked by her family and they were of the thought that the "honour"of their family was in danger. To get rid of it,the only solution they could think of was to kill the girl. How could humanity be so cruel ?For the sake of false honour ,families are sacrificing their true happiness. This is just one example......and there are many more. The reason behind it is prevalence of social stigma, rigid social organisation and excess of radicalism. It's not a new issue rather it has been prevailing in the society since years. It takes different hues in different forms of society whether it be a small village in Bihar or a well developed town in the US .The problem lies in default in psychological set-up.The pride for caste and religion is so strong that it loses sense of humanity. It tends to recognize individual not by his attributes but by his religion and caste. Also, there is conflict between RIGIDITY & LIBERALISM.Liberalism provokes individual to do something different from the society and rigidity in the society tries to stabilise social order ,even through forceful means which often leads to disastrous results as HONOUR KILINGS. No govt. ,no administration could stop this social stigma unless the society itself tries to do so.The remedy lies in broadened outlook ,liberal views and developed sense of understanding between generations . I believe ,indeed ,it is a cause of concern and it should be dealt with utmost seriousness.

Today's newspaper came with some shocking news.It read......SERIAL BLASTS IN MUMBAI! Within just 10 minutes serial blasts in Dadar ,Jhaveri bazaar and near opera house caused havoc in the city and became a cause of concern for the whole country. What could be the purpose of that?Maybe they tried to create terror in the business capital of India. They wanted to show that they are superior to the security agencies and intelligence personnels of india. It could also be a birthday gift to Azmal Kasab whose birthday falls on 13th of July. God knows their motives but common people are the main sufferers due to them. The dreading plight of people shivered our nerves but the culprits didn't pity them. But its not a new thing also.Terrorist attacks & serial blasts have become an order of the day.WHAT TO DO? Everytime a problem occurs ,we get to hear statements from politicians, officials, civil society members and others.it's not correct that efforts are not being made to improve the condition and also huge money is spent on defence activities but such occurrences bring those efforts at a low front. Level of internal security measures should be imprved. It is also a million dollar question that why has MUMBAI become favourite spot for spreading terror? Why not Delhi ,Chennai, Raipur, kolkata and others? Does the coastal position of Mumbai provides them ease ,or there are other reasons? Anyway ,these terrorist attacks do not hurt only one religion neither these are caused by people of only one religion .So , its the duty of people to share hands in eradicating such nuisance from the society. It is true that with the death of one OSAMA-BIN-LADEN ,terrorism is not vanished. It has grown its branches in many men and in different parts of the world.India should take stern action in this regard and such issues should definitely be dealt with a hard hand.

With the death of OSAMA-BIN-LADEN, now the question often arises that IS THIS THE END OF TERRORISM? Certainly not.Obama was just one symbol of terror. And there are many more under whom terrorism is flourishing. His death just symbolises victory of truth and a justice for the sufferers. Also it puts a hope for mankind .It also puts an example for India that if USA can fight against 9/11 for 10 years, why can"t INDIA fight for 26/11? But it should be noted that terrorism should be dealt with a hard hand ,otherwise it could not be curbed.

Celebration of LABOUR DAY symbolises respect for the work done by workers .They form the base of the society and contribute a lot from their part in well-establishing the society. But it is unfortunate to see many of them being deprived of their rights and lead a life of scarcity. This calls for efforts from our part to make improvements in their conditions.Only then Labour Day would be worth of celebration.

Seeing the plight of education in different schools of Bihar was really shocking. As informed by news channels,it was hard to believe that the schools lacked even basic infrastructual facilities. At the head of it ,the teachers were unskilled and were not able to teach properly.Such situation could distort initiatives of govt. in future as education forms the base of human capital formation which is instrumental in pursuance of developmental works. No doubt the govt. is making good efforts to improve education , it should be kept in mind that it could be fruitful only when teacher-student relationship is well maintained which is possible in the presence of efficient teachers and able students. So the policy formulation should be inclined towards recruiting well-educated &able teachers and encouraging students in such a way that real thirst for knowledge is instilled in them.
